It’s common that I’m asked about our use of Archicad as other firms are considering it. Of course, the most common reasons for using it are its flexibility and efficiency. The reason that I like to quote most often though, believe it or not, is the growing community. I personally offer to help firms get launched just because I’m excited to see what they can do with it, right. I want our profession to become more creative, more mature, more exciting, and so I’d let them know. I said, ‘Come to one of our events. Look over the shoulder of one of our designers. Check out the folks who are using it, and tell me that’s not the type of person you want to be working with’.
