TOKYO, January 31, 2012 — The leading BIM software, Graphisoft’s Archicad, and the architectural quantity calculation/cost estimation system, NCS/HEΛIOΣ, are now linked via IFC.
HEΛIOΣ (HELIOS), developed by Nisseki Survey, is widely used among Japanese general contractors, architectural firms and quantity survey firms. Nisseki Survey and its associate company, Val-System, now support quantity calculation and cost estimation tasks as an “OPEN BIM” partner of GRAPHISOFT. HELIOS is currently going through a real-life project validation process together with some of the largest general contractors in Japan.
