Release Notes – Archicad 21 NZE Library Update

Version 4550.11

With this update of Archicad 21 we not only deliver bug fixes, but we also deliver some new features to our users.
This Update can be applied to any build of Archicad 21 NZE (Build 3009 and above).

New Features

Extended content for Stair and Railing Tools: We extended the Archicad 21 library with additional content to provide more flexibility with the new Stair/Railing tools, like:

  • Stair Tread: new ‘Custom profiled’ accessory introduced.
  • Stair Tread: new ‘Raised strip for tread edge’ accessory introduced.
  • Stair Structure – Stringer: secondary support introduced.
  • Stair Structure – Cantilevered: new ‘Rod’ accessory introduced (for stairs with stringers).
  • Stair: 3D hotspots for beams and stringers in 3D and Sections/Elevations.
  • Stair: Special label introduced: dimensions and stair rules can be listed out.
  • Railing Panel: new ‘Wall panel’ introduced.
  • Railing interface has new design in some places.

Further list of improvements in this update

  • 227410 DOOR: The floorplan display of ‘Storefronts’ and ‘Pivot Door’ were incomplete in case of certain Model View Option settings.
  • 228354 WINDOW: A line appeared in adjacent windows with ganging.
  • 229321 STAIR: The 3D Contour Pen was incorrect in case of Profiled Structure component.
  • 229845 RAILING: The ‘Pig-ear Rail’ connection was not continuous in 3D.
  • 229870 RAILING: The 2D representation of the Handrail Fixing was wrong on one of its sides.
  • 231229 RAILING: The railing profile was open on one side in case of using a rail as a ramp.
  • 231921 OBJECT: The width of the ‘Cold-formed Beam’, and the ‘SHS Hot-finished Beam’ reset to zero when the profile changed.
  • 231964 RAILING: The 2D attributes of the built-in railing posts could not be set, and remained their default value.
  • 232380 OBJECT: Archicad could freeze by editing particular objects on the floor plan.
  • 233287 STAIR: Landing Rod’ and ‘Flight Rod’ had wrong preview pictures.
  • 235184 STAIR: R Riser Height’ and ‘G Going Depth’ minimum values of the ‘Stair Dimension Label’ were wrong in certan circumstances.
  • 236063 OBJECT: There were illegal characters in parameter value of Straight Ramp and Curved Ramp.

Install steps

  1. Download the Update.
  2. Exit Archicad before you start the installer.
  3. Make sure that you have administrator rights on your computer.
  4. Make sure that components of your Archicad Library have not been renamed or in any other way modified. If you have modified the Archicad 21 standard library, please re-install it from the original Archicad installer.
  5. Double-click on the downloaded file to start the installer. To run the installer, Java 8u120 must be installed on your computer. You can install Java version from your original Archicad installer.
  6. Follow the instructions of the wizard to complete the installation.
