Congratulations to the two lucky graduating students who have been selected to represent North America at BASECAMP 2019!
BASECAMP 2019 is an amazing opportunity designed to attract and educate talented students and set them on a path to become the next generation of Archicad champions. BASECAMP 2019 also gives these students a chance to connect with prestigious clients in their home countries. This two week educational event will take place at the Graphisoft Headquarters in Budapest, Hungary from July 22-August 2, 2019 and provides a unique opportunity for deepening the students’ understanding of Archicad by working closely with the team developing the software.
“It should come as no surprise that GRAPHISOFT is sponsoring an event like this one. Our company has long understood and valued the role students play in the future of the industry,” explained Tracey Gatland, General Manager of GRAPHISOFT North America. “This unique chance to work closely with the creators and developers of the leading BIM solution will be a game-changer for the selected students.”
Application for consideration to the event was open to all qualifying, current US-based architectural students. In order to qualify for consideration, students had to be currently enrolled in a US-based school, studying architecture. They had to provide proof of a valid Archicad EDU license, submit an application along with a sample of their best work (sample must be completed in Archicad), and a short video stating why the student wishes to participate in BASEAMP 2019.
The two students from North America (US, Canada, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico) that were chosen to participate in the global event and join 18 other students from around the world are Shanelle Reese and Anexyuliane Thillet.
Shanelle Reese, is currently at Tulane University getting her Masters in Architecture. Shanelle played an integral part in getting Archicad implemented in Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University’s curriculum, where she received her Bachelors degree in Architecture.
Archicad isn’t your typical BIM software. This software allows for you to be yourself and still communicate through all design disciplines. If you aren’t using Archicad, give it a try just once and it will change the way you BIM.
