June 1, sees the latest addition to the Graphisoft subsidiary
family with the establishment of Graphisoft UK Ltd. who will be based
in Central London. The new subsidiary has been established to
increase the presence of Archicad in one of its longest established
markets. Distribution partners have succeeded in placing Archicad at
the forefront of UK-based small to medium sized firms, but the
development of Archicad for Teamwork has brought about the need for a
new level of commitment to this important market.
Says Graphisoft president Gábor Bojár: “The UK is
the 2nd most important market in the world where large firms play a
strong role in the architectural profession. Graphisoft UK was
therefore a natural evolution when combined with the opportunities
offered with Archicad for Teamwork.”
The initial four man Graphisoft UK team will be headed by two key
personnel. András Haidekker, formerly International Sales
Manager of Graphisoft R&D Hungary will act as General Manager,
and Russell Henley, who first bought Archicad to the UK in 1987 and
has since worked with several firms involved in Archicad
distribution. He will co-ordinate the marketing program.
Graphisoft UK will support the existing distribution channel in
the UK and Ireland, offering focused marketing and high level
technical support and development, in an aim to grow an already
strong channel.
