Release Notes – Archicad 21 NED Library Update

Version 5533.1

With this update of Archicad 21 we not only deliver bug fixes, but we also deliver some new features to our users.
This Update can be applied to any build of Archicad 21 NED (Build 3011 and above).

New Features

Extended content for Stair and Railing Tools: We extended the Archicad 21 library with additional content to provide more flexibility with the new Stair/Railing tools, like:

  • Stair Tread: new ‘Custom profiled’ accessory introduced.
  • Stair Tread: new ‘Raised strip for tread edge’ accessory introduced.
  • Stair Structure – Stringer: secondary support introduced.
  • Stair Structure – Cantilevered: new ‘Rod’ accessory introduced (for stairs with stringers).
  • Stair: 3D hotspots for beams and stringers in 3D and Sections/Elevations.
  • Stair: Special label introduced: dimensions and stair rules can be listed out.
  • Railing Panel: new ‘Wall panel’ introduced.
  • Railing interface has new design in some places.

Further list of improvements in this update

  • 235974 DOOR: The horizontal preview of the door was misleading in the Door Default Settings.
  • 231809 DOOR: Some attributes of Revolving Door were missing from Find & Select.
  • 216666 DOOR/WINDOW: Depending on the library, Inside and Outside Casing Section Fill Type was not ‘Air Space’ fill.
  • 228354 WINDOW: Line appeared in adjacent windows with ganging.
  • 239533 OBJECT: The position of the profiled landing frame changed after forward migration.
  • 232380 OBJECT: Archicad could freeze while editing the Object Profilblech 21 on the floor plan.
  • 231921 OBJECT: Width size of the SHS Cold-formed Beam rendered itself to zero if profile was changed.
  • 231964 RAILING: 2D attributes of the build-in railing posts couldn’t be set, they were always default.
  • 229870 RAILING: 2D representation of Railing Handrail Fixing was wrong on one of the sides.
  • 229845 RAILING: Pig-ear Rail’ connection was not continuous in 3D.
  • 238645 STAIR: Stair start and end symbols were missing after file opening.
  • 237387 STAIR: The Stair Dimension Label’s ‘Automatic’ parameter was empty by default on the “Custom Settings/Regulation Setup tabpage.
  • 235431 STAIR: Open Stringer hotspots were created far away from the stair.
  • 235184 STAIR: Minimum value checkboxes of ‘R Riser Height’ and ‘G Going Depth’ were off in the Stair Dimension Label.
  • 233287 STAIR: Landing Rod’ and ‘Flight Rod’ had wrong preview pictures in case of cantilevered stairs.

Install steps

  1. Download the Update.
  2. Exit Archicad before you start the installer.
  3. Make sure that you have administrator rights on your computer.
  4. Make sure that components of your Archicad Library have not been renamed or in any other way modified. If you have modified the Archicad 21 standard library, please re-install it from the original Archicad installer.
  5. Double-click on the downloaded file to start the installer. To run the installer, Java 8u120 must be installed on your computer. You can install Java version from your original Archicad installer.
  6. Follow the instructions of the wizard to complete the installation.
