Custom Solution One of the Keys to Future of Nation’s Leading Sunroom Manufacturer
San Francisco, CA – July 26, 1999
Graphisoft – pioneers in object technology for the architectural CAD industry – announced today that it developed SolarCAD 3D™, a custom Archicad® solution, for Four Seasons Solar Products Corp, the nation’s leading manufacturer of sunrooms.
SolarCAD 3D, which uses Graphisoft’s proprietary Geometric Description Language (GDL) 3D parametric object technology, integrates the design and presentation of Four Seasons’ line of residential and commercial sunroom products onto images or architectural drawings of their customers’ existing homes and businesses. Four Seasons will make SolarCAD 3D part of its marketing and sales efforts to communicate its vision to its franchises and end users. In the future, it is expected that SolarCAD 3D will be integrated into Four Seasons other processes, making its sunroom and skylight design and ordering more efficient and automated.
Four Seasons co-founders, brothers Chris and Joe Esposito, announced plans to implement SolarCAD 3D at their bi-annual International Convention to an enthusiastic crowd of more than 300 Four Seasons franchises and distributors. The 1999 International Convention, celebrating the company’s Silver Anniversary and entitled “Keys to the Future – The Next Millennium,” took place July 14 to 17, 1999 near the company’s international headquarters in Holbrook, New York. The SolarCAD 3D introduction took place on the first day of the convention, emphasizing the important role this unique software solution plays in the company’s plans to stay well ahead of the competition.
“A ‘Key to the Future’ of Four Seasons Sunrooms is the introduction of SolarCAD 3D, our proprietary interactive computer design program,” Four Seasons President Chris Esposito said at the convention. “This program will simplify building design, engineering plans and details and create a 3D rendering of our customer’s dreams, right before their very eyes.”
Designed exclusively for use by Four Seasons’ resellers and distributors, SolarCAD 3D was developed in conjunction with Graphisoft’s Canadian reseller Pal Szabo, president of GSCNE Inc. Szabo’s custom Archicad GDL objects form the basis of the SolarCAD 3D program.
“Four Seasons is a great partner with a mutually exclusive commitment to deploy 240 seats of SolarCAD 3D with the potential for more beyond that. GDL is enabling us to progress at unprecedented speed and involve seasoned solution providers like GSCNE in the process,” said President of Graphisoft U.S. Tamás Hajas. “By combining Graphisoft’s technology with Four Seasons’ solid expertise in the field, we can deliver more value to their customers, additional sales tools and increased efficiency to their resellers, and ultimately more profit to the entire business.”
