Archicad 12 USA Library Update

Version 2009-04-01

This Hotfix includes important fixes for library bugs discovered since the original release of Archicad 12 (Build 2156). This Hotfix can be applied to any build of Archicad 12 (Build 2156 and above).

Install steps:

  1. Download the Hotfix by clicking on the file name on the previous page.
  2. Exit Archicad before you start the installer.
  3. Make sure that you have administrator rights on your computer.
  4. Make sure that components of your Archicad Library have not been renamed or in any other way modified. If you have modified the Archicad 12 standard library, please re-install it from the original Archicad install DVD.
  5. Double-click on the downloaded file to start the installer. To run the installer, Java version 6 must be installed on your computer. You can install Java version 6 from your original Archicad install DVD.
  6. Follow the instructions of the wizard to complete the installation.


Most important bugs corrected in this update:

  • 82699 Back Reference only works with Built-In Drawing Title
  • 80198 Curtain Wall Accessories: Design cap 01 12: gaps inside on curved Curtain Wall
  • 77170 Curtain Wall Accessories: the 3D Representation can’t be changed
  • 85524 Curtain Wall Window: error after adding properties of a Curtain Wall window with inject to a panel. It is not possible to edit this new window anymore, and will have gdl error.
  • 85388 Doors: Arch top doors: inconsistent shoulder height at the User Interface
  • 85641 Doors: Arch Top Doors: The transom break up in some cases when changing Transom- & Shoulder Height
  • 85547 Doors: Bifold Doors: some panels cannot be placed in narrow doors
  • 84649 Doors: D1 Entrance 12: the same handles looks different on each side of the door in 3D
  • 80558 Doors: D1 Garage 4: exterior casing going wrong direction in plan
  • 87151 Doors: D2 Double Acting, D2 Double Egress: unable to change panel width in custom object settings
  • 78378 Doors: doors with sidelight or with transom: base hotspots appear in wrong position
  • 87117 Doors: Garage Doors: „door panel“ settings: parameters are confused
  • 81296 Doors: Garage Doors: Extended threshold – incorrect 3D representation
  • 87118 Doors: Garage doors: Missing „rail height“ and „glass thickness“ parameter for Garage door panel style 5

  • 85383 Windows: Arch top windows: splayed reveal doesn’t work in 3D
  • 68662 Windows: Empty window/door: ganging text hangs out
  • 83919 Windows: General casing offset problem
  • 81004 Windows: Masonry Arch: an extra line appear in brick arch keystone in case of ganging in elevation
  • 71530 Windows: no casing is visible in 2D if the frame has the same width as the wall
  • 85545 Windows: sometimes parameter name ‚Board‘ appears instead of ‚Stool‘
  • 88069 Windows: The exterior casing of all windows offsets the inside of the window frame and not the outside
  • 85445 Windows: The parameter for the apron height (interior side lower casing) is not available
  • 83385 Windows: Vent Window, Sliding windows: wrong bottom casing piece shows when unchecking the Sill option
  • 86732 Windows: W Arched Head: slanted reveal does not work in 3D
  • 85344 Windows: W M Curved 12 window: metal window settings tabpage malfunction
  • 62174 Windows: W Multiside Piv 11, W Octagonal Piv 11, W Oval Piv 11, W Round Piv 11: missing opening line function
  • 87439 Windows: W Oval Fix, W Oval Piv: width and height parameters cannot differ
  • 74332 Windows: W1 Casement AwnU: casing is longer then the frame (so the window cannot be opened)
  • 83891 Windows: without Sills an unintentional mitering appears in 3D
