I attended the New Jersey Institute of Technology where I earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the Albert Dorman Honors College. Upon graduation, I worked preserving NYC landmarks which led me to pursue a master's degree in Historic Preservation from Pratt Institute. This has given me the skills to understand the built environment, its economics and its development. Working professionally since undergraduate freshman year, I have been involved in high end residential design as well as construction management. For about 19 years, I have developed and analyzed construction files for permitting.

I worked as a general contractor’s Project Manager where I led the construction of a 20-million-dollar project in NOHO Manhattan, to completion. On this role, I managed the construction site administratively and technically. Upon setting up my own practice, I have had the privilege to continuously provide services to high-end residential design firms, general contractors, structural engineers and developers by performing schematic designs, design development drawings & permit sets. In summary, I have realized full permit sets and marketing tools (animations and realistic stills) relying exclusively on clients’ hand pencil sketches. Also, I had the opportunity to practice business developing, administration and marketing while pursuing my own practice. Finally, I have realized presentations for business organizations, and I have taught Archietcture at the college level on occasion.

Remote work. Understanding of what the requirements are, and courtesy to facilitate communication. We can work through Trello, Slack, Discord or other apps.

You will receive: - One Drive storage for the given project/projects we will be working on. This facilitates your having all information available readily by pertinent file extensions: .jpg, .pdf, .pln, .mp4, etc. - Microsoft Excell sheet with daily description of duties performed on the working files as well as hours spent daily. This is also readily available, updated, and shared by OneDrive. - Complete BIM model created. I have been working exclusively in ArchiCAD for about 4 years. yet, I have been working regularly about 7 days a week, and I have developed tools to facilitate my work as well as a full template including worked performed over 17 years of work - My experience involves creating permit sets for architectural offices, general contractors, and structural engineers. Transitioning from AutoCAD to ArchiCAD, I have included all of my records from all of my years of practice into the aforementioned template

Required Skills and Abilities
• Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills
• Strong design sensitivity
• Ability to think creatively and strategically
• Working knowledge of construction roles and responsibilities for various delivery methods
• Understanding of liabilities, risks, and responsibilities related to professional practice
• Facility for working in digital design software

Additional
• Must be licensed to practice architecture in North Carolina
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in a design firm
• Experience at managing in-house multi-disciplinary design teams a plus
• Sustainable design experience and/or certifications a plus
