This Hotfix addresses documentation, modeling, and other miscellaneous issues. The fixes are listed in full detail below.

List of improvements

Documentation

  • We fixed an issue where Grid lost Design Option settings on Section/Elevation view in the localized Archicad versions. (DEF-23180)
  • Exported DWG no longer shows labels of renovation status that was not visible in Archicad. (DEF-9863)
  • We fixed an issue where linetypes became solid after exporting layouts to DWF. (DEF-7522)

Teamwork & BIMCloud

  • We fixed an issue where Library Objects were not included when saving an Archive project/PLA file from an AC28 Teamwork project. (DEF-23770)

Modeling

  • There are no longer inconsistencies in Curtain Wall edit mode between AC27 and AC28. (DEF-23154)

Cosmetic & Translations

  • We fixed an issue where in the FRA localization version, “Copier dans motif” was replaced with “Coller dans motif” in the Options menu > Element Attributes > Lines. (DEF-23694)
  • In the CHE localization version, True/False properties are no longer displayed in English on Autotext labels, instead of German (Wahr/Falsch). (DEF-23395)

This Update contains several improvements since the original release of Archicad 28. This package updates only Archicad and the installed Graphisoft Add-ons and Goodies. BIMcloud Basic and BIMcloud can be updated with a separate package, you can access the latest installer here.

To access the latest official Update for your Archicad, please use the “Check for Updates” command in the Archicad Help Menu.

Installation notes
  • The Update process will automatically search your computer for Archicad 28 (including MEP Modeler, EcoDesigner Star and all Graphisoft Add-ons).
  • Make sure you have administrator rights on the computer. Start the full installation process using an administrator account.
  • Make sure none of the Archicad components are modified (e.g. renamed).
  • If you have multiple copies of Archicad on your machine, then the installer will automatically find one copy. If you want to update a different instance, you can use the “Browse” button to locate it. You will need to run the installer multiple times to update each copy of Archicad.
