The successful candidate can expect to work on all RIBA stages, on a range of exciting projects from master planning to bespoke houses, listed buildings and small-scale commercial. Skills required:
- good working knowledge of ArchiCAD
- a minimum of one year of experience in an architectural practice
- an understanding of UK Building Regulations
- proven experience in residential led design at RIBA stages 1 to 4
Desirable Skills:
- knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop
- knowledge of rendering software; D5, Twinmotion etc.
- knowledge of the use of environmentally considered materials and technologies


Job type: full-time
Place of work: a mix of remote working and at either our Cardiff or our Llandeilo office
Salary: Competitive based on experience

The role is for an initial 6 month contract with potential to extend. Vabel is looking for a technical architect or architectual technician to join its North London studio.
Vabel is a collective of designers, project managers and contractors who specialise in the creation and delivery of design led residential developments. We unify the creative, technical, and financial aspects of projects into a streamlined, cohesive process to deliver ground-breaking developments.
The role will involve working on complex mixed-use projects in central London during stage 4. Coordinating and producing interior technical packages. The candidate should have strong technical design skills and be passionate about materials and how buildings are crafted. Experience working on multi-unit, high end, residential schemes and a sound understanding of interior architectural detailing is essential.

Key skills and experience:
*ARB or CIAT registered with RIBA or equivalent qualification, preferably with experience working on UK residential and mixed-use projects
*Demonstrate excellent technical detailing skills
*Experience of modelling and detailing packages in ArchiCad essential
* Experience in collating architectural tender packages
* Expert knowledge of UK building regulations and planning policy and evolving Building Safety Act ang Gateway requirements.

Trevor Horne Architects (THA) is seeking a highly skilled Architectural Technician with a strong track record in contract administration and construction detailing to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support the production of detailed technical drawings and construction packages

Administer construction contracts, including site inspections and issuing instructions

Resolve complex construction detailing in line with current UK standards and building regulations

Collaborate closely with project architects and external consultants through all RIBA stages

Attend site meetings and coordinate contractor queries and construction progress

Minimum 5 years of experience in a UK architecture practice

Strong understanding of traditional and contemporary construction methods

Proficient in ArchiCAD

Excellent knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction standards
