Strategic Alliance of EcoSoft and Graphisoft's Mexican distributor, Anzix

Archicad to be sold through the EcoSoft distribution channel; OPUS provides unique compatibility and cutting edge technology to Graphisoft’s Archicad

Budapest/Acapulco, Guerrero, Mexico, June 28, 2002 – EcoSoft and Graphisoft’s distributor Anzix announced the union of the two systems OPUS and Archicad at the 6th Distributor Meeting of EcoSoft, celebrated in the port of Acapulco, Guerrero, Mexico, attended by more than 80 Authorized Distributors from 10 countries. Héctor Arzate Kanán, Direktor of EcoSoft, engineer and Sergio Rodríguez de Anda, architect, CEO of Anzix, announced that every architect and building professional in Latin America and Mexico will be able to acquire Archicad® directly from their local OPUS distributor.

Jaime Franzi, General Director of Archicad Espana and Francisco Acuna, Commercial Director for Spanish regions in the Americas, flew in from Spain to participate in the event. They expressed their enthusiasm for the alliance with a distribution chain as unified and well organized as EcoSoft.
At the event Jaime Franzi pointed out the vast potential and business opportunities provided by the efficiency of Archicad, a world-class CAD software for architectural design. Sergio Rodríguez presented the software and its compatibilities with OPUS, which is already integrated in the latest version: Archicad 7.0. He demonstrated how the Archicad menu generates a file interchange with OPUS that automatically integrates the budget and complete design plans. Developed by Graphisoft exclusively for OPUS, the file interchange allows OPUS to provide cost estimates of the designs made in Archicad.
The participants of the meeting were informed that the compatibility trial period has ended, and that private and public companies – among them the Secretariat of the Mexican Government – are already successfully using the software.
It was announced that selected EcoSoft distributors, who provide the best and highest level of support in the Mexican, Caribbean, Latin and South American territories, will be trained to support Archicad users.
