Step will gratify expanding base of investors in emerging market technology
Frankfurt/Budapest -February 9th, 2000 – Graphisoft today announced that in response to a
strong interest among emerging market investors, the company will also list its shares on
the Budapest Stock Exchange (BSE). Shares by Graphisoft have been traded on the
Frankfurt Stock Exchange Neuer Markt (symbol: GPH) since June 1998.
The interest of emerging market fund investors operating from the US and Europe is
increasingly focused on the exploding technology sector in Central and Eastern Europe,
particularly in Hungary. With its R&D headquarters located in Hungary and its success in the
global marketplace, Graphisoft has attracted the attention of emerging market investors who
specialize in IT companies.
“Graphisoft has positioned itself as a global technology company since its inception, which
is why the Frankfurt Neuer Markt, a fast growing European technology stock exchange,
suited us well,” said Gábor Bojár, Graphisoft’s President and CEO. “Now with an additional
listing on the Budapest Stock Exchange, we will be able to serve the growing demand from
emerging market investors as well.”
On February 7th, 2000, the Governing Board of the Budapest Stock Exchange approved
favorable changes to its regulations. Following these changes, the Management Board of
Graphisoft decided to submit its application for the additional listing on BSE. The Company
expects that its shares will be listed in the beginning of the second quarter of 2000.
This forward-looking statement is based on current expectations and is subject to risks and
uncertainties.
