Graphisoft® (Frankfurt Neuer Markt: GPH) reconfirms its strong commitment to the Brazilian architectural community with the opening of Graphisoft Brazil on May 24. Based in Sao Paulo, the Brazil office will provide service and support to the hundreds of architects using Graphisoft’s award-winning integrated architectural CAD software, Archicad.
“Graphisoft has made it a priority to understand and meet the needs of local building markets. By opening the Brazil office, Graphisoft will be ideally positioned to grow its client base in this very important South American market,” said Graphisoft Vice President of Sales and Marketing Gábor Kazár.
Priscila Castro was named general manager of Graphisoft Brazil. Previously a practicing architect who used Archicad in her business, Castro has been a successful Archicad reseller partner in Brazil since 1992.
“As an architect, I learned first-hand what Archicad can do for the architectural practice. With the additional resources the Brazil office promises, we will be able to offer premium services to our current users and accelerate the development of our countrywide reseller and solution partners’ network. Thus we will help even more architects improve the way they work using Archicad’s revolutionary Virtual Building™ concept,” Castro said.
Graphisoft will also use the Graphisoft Brazil opening ceremony to officially launch in Brazil Archicad 6.o in Portuguese, one of 25 localized versions. The event will be hosted by Gábor Kazár, and will include a day-long hands-on Archicad 6.o training course.
Understanding the importance of education, Graphisoft Brazil will establish an Archicad training center, offering introductory courses for new users. Graphisoft also donated more than 230 Archicad licenses in December 1998 to universities throughout Brazil, including Universidade Luterano do Brasil and Universidade Federal de Pernambuco.
