The Econia Business Park will be built in Aviapolis, Vantaa, the fastest growing business district in the Helsinki metropolitan area.  Econia is being built according to the principles of ecological efficiency and sustainable development. The developer, Julius Tallberg Real Estate Corporation, and the builder, Hartela Group, have developed a unique futuristic business park concept. Its design emphasizes environmental solutions as well as a comfortable working environment.
«In Econia, ecology is high-tech,» states Tom Cederqvist of C&J Architects, the company that designed Econia. The principles of sustainable development and ecology were taken into account in locating the building, which features solar panels on the facade, thermal comfort, and ecologically friendly operation.
Econia comprises four seven-story office blocks. As the blocks are horizontally connected, the flexible spaces can also be expanded from one building to another. The spaces are tailored to meet the needs of the users. Total rentable area is 23,000 m2. Since a positive working environment has a significant effect on working comfort and efficiency, special attention is paid to room air quality, acoustics, lighting, and room temperature.
