Computer Graphics World, the industry-leading magazine for cutting edge 3D graphics, has chosen Archicad 4.55 as the First Place Winner in their 1995 Editors’ Choice Awards. The purpose of the award is to honor the best CAD and graphics hardware and software of the year. The award follows the 1994 Editors Choice Award given to Archicad last year by MacUser Magazine. |

Graphisoft has also announced that, as of Mid ’96, the new Archicad 5.0 version will be available on all platforms supported, including Windows 95, Windows NT, Power Macintosh and Macintosh 68K versions. Version 5.0 will further enhance Archicad’s «Digital Building» concept and integrated design-drafting approach in several aspects:
- editing/drafting in elevations and sections by automatically updating both the floor plan and the 3D Model;
- support of room-oriented work, room-based bills of materials;
- the column as a new element with architectural intelligence;
- further enhanced 2D functionality
