This Hotfix addresses project data and BIM, collaboration, and other miscellaneous issues. The fixes are listed in full detail below.

List of improvements

Project data & BIM

  • We fixed an issue where the right edge of Open-style dialogs could be cut off, making buttons inaccessible when opened from Archicad or third-party add-ons. (DEF-26279)
  • We fixed an issue where Archicad could not find available online templates when starting a new project. (DEF-26160)
  • We fixed an issue where sample projects could not be downloaded from the Home Screen. (DEF-26124)

Collaboration

  • We fixed an issue where IFC property values were not exported correctly from Archicad 28, including properties created through third-party add-ons. (DEF-25864)

Licensing

  • We fixed an issue where Archicad could lose access to the cloud-based BIMcloud license after a period of inactivity. (DEF-26136)

This Update contains several improvements since the original release of Archicad 28. This package updates only Archicad and the installed Graphisoft Add-ons and Goodies. BIMcloud Basic and BIMcloud can be updated with a separate package, you can access the latest installer here.

To access the latest official Update for your Archicad, please use the “Check for Updates” command in the Archicad Help Menu.

Installation notes
  • The Update process will automatically search your computer for Archicad 28 (including MEP Modeler, EcoDesigner Star and all Graphisoft Add-ons).
  • Make sure you have administrator rights on the computer. Start the full installation process using an administrator account.
  • Make sure none of the Archicad components are modified (e.g. renamed).
  • If you have multiple copies of Archicad on your machine, then the installer will automatically find one copy. If you want to update a different instance, you can use the “Browse” button to locate it. You will need to run the installer multiple times to update each copy of Archicad.
