This Hotfix addresses installation, modeling, Teamwork, and other miscellaneous issues. The fixes are listed in full detail below.

Installation & Update

  • The misleading error message no longer pops up after the automatic update on Windows machines. (DEF-22616)
  • Texts in the macOS 15 installation interfaces now display correctly. (DEF-21460)

Modeling

  • The Space bar keyboard shortcut for the Magic Wand now works as intended on macOS. (DEF-22620)
  • Archicad no longer crashes due to labeled route segments during migration from Archicad 27 to Archicad 28. (DEF-22595)

Teamwork & BIMcloud

  • Teamwork projects on the Home Screen are no longer displayed as ‘Not Available’. (DEF-22291, DEF-22285)
  • The Home Screen no longer forces a connection to server shares that host the data for recent projects. (DEF-21905)

Collaboration

  • Archicad now shows the proper error message instead of freezing when trying to import IFC files with IFC 4×3 schema on macOS. (DEF-21459)

Documentation

  • Archicad no longer crashes when saving back from Archicad 28 to Archicad 27 due to Keynotes with multiline descriptions. (DEF-22110)

This Update contains several improvements since the original release of Archicad 28. This package updates only Archicad and the installed Graphisoft Add-ons and Goodies. BIMcloud Basic and BIMcloud can be updated with a separate package, you can access the latest installer here.

To access the latest official Update for your Archicad, please use the “Check for Updates” command in the Archicad Help Menu.

Installation notes
  • The Update process will automatically search your computer for Archicad 28 (including MEP Modeler, EcoDesigner Star and all Graphisoft Add-ons).
  • Make sure you have administrator rights on the computer. Start the full installation process using an administrator account.
  • Make sure none of the Archicad components are modified (e.g. renamed).
  • If you have multiple copies of Archicad on your machine, then the installer will automatically find one copy. If you want to update a different instance, you can use the “Browse” button to locate it. You will need to run the installer multiple times to update each copy of Archicad.
