Archicad 8 R3/v3 INT/GER versions are available on CD at your local Archicad provider
In this maintenance release we have fixed all significant bugs that has come forward since R2/v2 patch (please find a list of fixed bugs here).
Also, as promised at the time of release of R2/v2, in AC 8 R3/v3 several performance bottlenecks have been addressed and noticeable improvements has been achieved in some fields (see details below).
The optimization process will, of course, continue in the upcoming Archicad releases.
Performance improvements in R3/v3:
- In 8.0v3 user break of the Rebuild process is introduced.
In 8.0v2 it was not possible to break the rebuild process.
This has been changed in v3; rebuild can now be interrupted by any command,
including navigation commands, such us scrolling, as well.
In Archicad 8 R3/v3 when one wants to scroll repeatedly,
there is no need to wait for the competition of rebuild of the previous scroll. - Editing large black and white images is significantly faster in 8.0v3 than in 8.0v2.
- Opening a file without a library is faster in 8.0v3 than in 8.0v2.
- Rebuild, Rebuild & Regenerate is faster in 8.0v3 than 8.0v2
(the actual rate of acceleration highly depends on file, view, layer settings and display options). - Opening and saving a file is faster in 8.0v3 than 8.0v2.
- Send & Receive is faster on files containing multiple sections/elevations.
Please, note that these statements are based on the average of the measurement of several files.
Speed improvements on individual files can vary widely.
